Frequently Asked Questions

Let's Get Started!
-
Are your knives sharp? The entire knife is made of wood and I do not fashion the blades to hold a sharp edge as a traditional steel knife would. The blades are as sharp as wood can be sharpened, but it is highly unlikely one would cut themself with a wooden blade, but it is not encouraged to try. The knives are art to be admired; not a tool to slice summer sausage.
-
How long does it take to get my knife after I order? Most knives can be delivered within 4-6 weeks, but much depends on the style and the woods requested. If some exotic wood must be ordered, the lead times may be longer. Each knife is unique and is quoted with a lead time depeding on the style.
-
How much do your knives cost? Each knife is different with different wood and levels of craftsmanship. Native wood knives can often start at $75 while exotics can start at $100. Custom engraving is an added cost with a flat fee of $25. The prices are quoted at the time of order.
-
Will you engrave anything I want on my knife? The simple answer is "no." I reserve the right to refuse to engrave any word, phrase, likeness, symbol, etc at my discretion. Let's be tasteful...no dirty pictures, limerics, or hate speech is allowed.
-
Can you do large orders for company awards, graduations, and retirements?"Absolutely! Since I am but a single craftsman in a small shop you will need to notify me in plenty of time to get your order complete and delivered ontime for your event. Let's talk about that!
